It was one of the most significant and defining moments in my development as a psychologist when I discovered the scientific discoveries of neuroscientists in the last decades. The result of this was a new field of science namely neuroplasticity. The latter by definition means the brain is malleable and adaptable, changing moment by moment of every day.
We as individuals have a choice in which way we steer our brains. It is possible to change the anatomical structure of our brains by changing our thoughts. We are thus not victims of our biology or circumstances.
